Villy Margariti-Dalacoura, was born and raised in Greece in a village called Erythres near the location of Ancient Thebes.
She graduated in Architecture from the National Technical University of Athens (N.T.U.A.) in 1998.
Before establishing her own architectural studio in 2008, she worked for 10 years for the renowned company Zege Architects SA. During that time, she was commissioned to design and manage a wide range of projects, from concept design through to project completion in multiple disciplines and locations in Greece (The Peloponnese, The Cyclades, The Dodecanese and The Ionian Islands).
Her collective professional experience encompasses a wide array of building types on both new-builds and renovations, including Traditional, Institutional, Commercial and Residential facilities. She has a special interest in restoration work.
She takes pride in her Greek cultural heritage imbued with humanistic values. This allows her to refresh her point of view vis-Ã -vis her origins, with a clear understanding of some of the most exciting contemporary challenges, from architecture to interior decoration, and product design.
In her quest for aesthetics with a clear vision, she explored the properties of natural materials and it was marble that became the means of expressing her personal narrative. This translucent stone coalesces into the perfect balance between solid geometrics and freedom, austerity and sensuality, dynamism and elegance.
Combining experience, creativity, traditional craftsmanship and the finest quality of Greek marble, she conceived a collection of unique objects. Each of her creations is crafted by hand, one at a time and can be personalized upon request.
Villy Margariti–Dalacoura, continues to explore ways for enriching life, through beautiful and functional spaces.
